Welcome to my first post on my new blog site. There are lots of posts before this, but they were imported from my previous blog site by a genius Interwebs guru. Now that I’m trying to take over the reins myself, I’m having all kinds of trouble finding out where the buttons and levers are, so I hope this isn’t too much of a mess. Like most humans, I hate change.
“Then why did you change to a new blog site, Dan?” one might ask.
“I can’t remember,” would be my solemn reply.
I’m cutting this post short because it has taken me 18.7 hours to get this far and I’m exhaustipated. I’ll post a longer, funnier thing tomorrow after a good night’s sleep.

@Lisa…it’s not so bad once you get the hang of it. WordPress is fairly similar to Blogger, it’s just that I’ve been doing the other one so long that I can blow through it in a few minutes. With the new one I have to relearn where the buttons are.
Nevermind! Seems to work now.

Previous posts look fine in Google Reader, but in this one the text doesn’t flow around the image.
Lookin’ good, Dan. Can we have the links open in the same window? Or is there something I don’t understand about that? When they open in the same window all I have to do is hit “backspace” to return to the blog. I guess I’m a slug don’tcha know…

Update: it appears only the most recent post (“first post”) links open in a new window. The links in posts below and transferred from blogspot open in the same window, making my luxury complete! I wonder if the next post will act similarly?

Say, Dan, while you’re looking around for all those buttons, could you see if there’s one to make the default point size on the type a bit larger?

The real beauty of wordpress is that it keeps my contact info filled in and I don’t have to hit the submit button 3 times for a comment to post like it does in blogger.
