Bizarro is brought to you today by One-Legged Jogging Dog.
You younger Jazz Pickles who’ve not heard of anything that didn’t happen during your own lifetime may be mystified by this cartoon. It is a combination of two famous early-20th-century pop stars: Tintin and Rin Tin Tin. Tintin is a comic character from Belgium, Rin Tin Tin was a canine movie star.
This cartoon is a collaboration between my “known associate,” Wayno and I . He types about it here, if you’re interested. If you’re not interested, that link is not for you.
This second cartoon is about a visit to an eye doctor. The balls inside my eye sockets used to work really well but like most homo sapiens over 40, they don’t work so hot anymore so I have to pay people to build corrective windows to look through. I happen to look pretty awesome in these contraptions, so I don’t really mind. I hear they now make little tiny windows (without frames!) that sit right on the surface of your eye-socket balls, but I’ve never tried them. As a rule, I don’t like to shove foreign objects into my eyes.
As I sit on my sunny back patio typing this post, I find myself sincerely hoping that viewing these drawings of mine has made you smile.
As I sit here in Milwaukee, 44F and sunny with a beautiful pink sunset starting to light up the sky (January?!?), I can tell you that these drawings made me smile. And yes, I remember Rin-Tin-Tin. Very clever! Steven Spielberg would agree…
Your ought to look into Lasik eye burning…. I had one eye done, for reading, and the other left alone, for long distance. My brain flip flops depending on what I’m doing.
Maybe your eye patient could use the seeing eye Rin-tin-tin-tin.
With laser eye surgery – what they DON’T tell you is that after you get the surgery, your eyes don’t shoot lasers.
The weather’s been awesome so far in 2012 (in SoCal), huh? Coupled with the big surf these past few days, 2012 has really started with a bang.
I’ve been digging it, for sure.
Because of the recent release of the Tin-Tin movie, some reporter in NPR was also reminded of Rin-Tin-Tin. The report discussed how Rin-Tin-Tin was a real dog and a huge movie star at the time, getting top billing in his movies. I’m an old fart but only vaguely remember the TV show, but certainly got the reference right away.
“sunny back patio typing this post”…sounds very nice. It’s been cold here in NY. In the 40s which is “warm” for this time of year, but not warm by any means. Enjoy sunny Cal!
