Preachy Flattery

Here’s something kind of cool: a guy wrote a song appropriately entitled “Preachy Vegan Song” and included a quote by me. I’m flattered to be included with so many more impressive people than myself so I thought I’d share it with you folks.

It’s not hard to listen to, like most of this kind of thing, so don’t be afraid.

Listen to the song.

Some good points in there, but there is one lyric I’m wondering about. If no one raises animals for food, there will be no farm animals to share the world with. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing. But I don’t think it makes sense to paint a picture of vegans sharing the world with the farm animals they love. The only way to share the world with animals in a vegan world is to raise your own animals. Just a thought.

Anne, what a great “problem” that would be! I would gladly give up my days with cows, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys and pigs (I do volunteer at a farm animal sanctuary) in exchange for the rest of the human world never eating another animal! Sadly, that won’t happen anytime in the future so for now, I’ll gladly be painted in the picture with my “food” friends!
